Fisher CZ-21 Pro with 10 Inch Coil

Fisher CZ-21 Pro with 10 Inch Coil

You can go anywhere with the CZ-21, even 250 feet underwater.

The CZ-21 is a go-anywhere, do anything, all-weather, target-ID machine that is leak proof to 250 feet. And its patented electronics make it deep-seeking while it ignores the destabilizing effects of salt water. It is the perfect target ID machine for the versatile treasure hunter who wants to hunt anywhere-underwater, on the beach, in the surf, on dry land and in all kinds of weather.

Target I.D: put on the headphones, swing the search coil, and listen to the 3-tone target I.D. A low tone means you are over iron, amid tone means pull tab of
gold ring and a high tone means a coin. And a distinctive bell tone lets you know when you are over big , shallow targets, no more digging beer cans! Twin LED's: Two bright red, light-emitting diodes flash when you pass over a target and dim as you move away. For precise pinpointing, use the Pinpoint button, which puts the detector in a no-motion-required , all metal mode. See for yourself: If you are an all-around treasure hunter
who will not settle for second best, the CZ-21 is the detector for you.

Feature: Submersible to 250 feet, three-tone audio target ID, visual target response and signal strength indicated by two bright-red LEDs, patented Dual-Frequency Fourier Domain Signal analysis, silent-search, VLF, slow motion discrimination, super-hot wide-scan all metal auto tune mode, push-button VCO no-motion pinpointing, big-target alert, increased depth in mineralized soil, wet-sand operation, faint target audio boost, push-button ground balance, separately sealed battery compartment with four 9v batteries (gives a solid 45 hour use), your choice of and 8" or 10" spider open-center coil, removable control housing mounts on your belt with belt clip (included), easy to use: turn-on-and-go, pre-set control.

Summary of Field Test (Reprinted from Lost Treasure Magazine)

Incorporating all of the features of the field-proven CZ-5 and CZ-6 with the exception of the meter, the CZ-21 should prove to be an extremely popular detector with not only water and beach hunters, but coin and relic
hunters who want a top-notch detector that is totally impervious to the elements. This is truly a detector that will perform equally as well in salt-water surf as it will in a fresh water lake, a school yard,
or mineralized battlefield or campsite.

The CZ-21 comes with Fisher's two year warranty, which considering it's an underwater detector, shows how confident the factory is that it will hold up under virtually any condition one might use it in.

Have metal detected in many areas over the last two plus years. As a new person to this SPORT I have enjoyed the outdoor adventure that metal detecting has alloted to me. The physical activity has improved my well being and I am able to walk longer distance now that I am part of the metal detecting family. Many find over the past year but to this date nothing earth shattering.

The Fisher CZ-21 unit I have seems right for the job but maybe I am not taking full advantage of this unit. You do not list my unit above- maybe it is too old. I currently have a Fisher CZ7a and it works pretty good. I have found enough coins to pay for my unit many times over along with a few pieces of gold, but nothing big. Sometimes it is fun to find the unexpected, such as old metal toys, old square nails and once at a dept of 16 to 18 inches a large lead sinker right on the edge of the beach.

I like to detect the local and State beach in the winter when the tide has gone down or after a storm. Usually there is a lot of loose items and you do not have to put up with everyone asking "What did you find" "Can I see what you found" etc. After looking at Whites new line of detectors, I am trying to make up my mind as to which unit I would like to purchase as my Fisher is getting to show its age.

My husband bought me a Fisher CZ 21 for Christmas two years ago, which I use it every chance I get! He bought it for me, expecting me to use it once or twice and then place it in the closet and forget about it. Boy was he wrong!

I own a townhouse in Panama City Beach, Fl, and every time I visit there my Fisher goes with me. I love to detect the beaches and also the ocean. This model is perfect for both, although it's a little hard to ground balance. It has excellent discrimination, and once you get the different tones figured out, it's an awesome machine.

It's really surprising the kind of things I've found (platinum wedding bands, gold wedding bands, silver wedding bands, rings, watches, bracelets, toe rings, earrings, and more). I've also been lucky enough to be able to return some expensive items to their owners, and probably saved at least a couple of marriages by doing so....

One case in point happened last year. I had been on the beach metal detecting for about 5 hours, and it was getting hot and I was tired, so I walked on over to my chair and umbrella to have a rest and eat some lunch. Most of the venders on the beach know me, and if any of their clients loose anything they send them over to me since I truly like to help people find their belongings that would otherwise be lost forever in the sand.

A newly married young lady (who was very much mad at her new husband, and distraught over the loss of his wedding ring) walked up and told me her new husband had been playing football on the beach with some friends of his and his ring flew off his finger.

They had been searching for it for quite a while but were unable to locate it. I had them mark off a grid of where it had been lost, and before 15 minutes I had found it. I was offered a reward for finding it, but I refused it, and requested he take his ring off the next time he wanted to play football.

Let me tell you, they were both very relieved people, and his wife stopped giving him dirty looks.

Another time, I returned a very expensive 11-diamond wedding band to a couple that had given up hope of ever finding it, had checked out of the hotel, and were getting into their car when they were notified the ring had been found. I was metal detecting around some chairs on the beach and got a very strong signal, dug it, and found a gorgeous, expensive diamond ring!

I asked the chair vendor if anyone had lost a ring, he stated definitely someone had but they had given up on finding it and were going home. I returned it to the rightful owners and it made my day!

I bought my 1st detector back in 1969 from Kellyco - I think it was a Fisher 1220x. I've owned almost every model and make made todate. I now have a Sovereign GT, a Fisher CZ21 and a CZ20 - all are excellent detectors!

I mostly hunt the water and beaches - I've found many gold rings and coins with the CZ20 and now my go-to detector is the CZ-21. It performs perfect in salt or fresh water. The new pinpoint button is a great idea over the CZ20. Set-up is very easy and the body mount takes all the weight off!

I've owned 3 Excalibur's, but they were very bulky to hip mount and batteries didn't last long. The CZ21's batteries last about 40 to 50 hours! The Identification tones make it a joy to use. If I had only 1 ddetector to use, it would be the CZ21. It is as close to a "do it all" detector made today. Water/salt/sand or land makes no difference. It performs better than all others I've owned.

My best ring to date value was $4,500.00 my wife is wearing it today. I found it with my CZ21. In the last 10 years I've found over 300 rings and about 1/3 are gold and many have diamonds.

I've found many class rings and managed to return 6 of them to there owner! This is a wonderful hobby that iv been blessed to have over the years

The detector that I have used is the CZ-20, and if the CZ-21 is anything better than the CZ-20 you have one heck of a machine.

It is easy to use, read the manual well, and you should have no worries. Like they say, it is a deep seeking machine, and Fisher is right, you will be digging with this one. The three tones ID is what I like and it works really well.

I have used the CZ-20 in the surf and found a lot of jewelry and change from ankle deep, and up to my chin deep. It performs great, and if deep is what you want it is there. I use the hip mount for my machine, and found some really old coins and jewelry at amazing deep. It will stay with you when you step into water two feet deep and it's really 8 feet deep.

I've had to hit a snake with the coil to keep from getting bit, and it still keeps on beeping great. It is great for land use, as well. I have used it in several ghost town, old sawmill towns, around old river port and crossing and a lot of old home sites and found anything from square nails to pocket watches, to old money. I have found one cache with it, consisting of 25 old coins under a magnolia tree on a creek. The best find is a heart locket found it by an old well; it belonging to my great grand mother from year passed and has seen an old picture of her wearing it back in the early 1900's.

So, if you want a really great machine, try the CZ-21 I'm going to.

I'm fairly new to this great activity so I bought this detector on eBay after talking to others in our "sport." First the Fisher CZ-21 is a fairly light model with a fair hand grip.

The controls are laid out in a thoughtful manor and are fairly easy to operate. It did come with a full instruction book that explained everything in detail. Unfortunately it did not come with quick instructions so it took a while and a good read to get up and go. The detector did take some time to get used to and understand it's not a turn on and go type of unit.

I like to go coin shooting and I did have some good luck with this unit. I live near a fairly old city (Albany NY) which has been in the process of replacing it sidewalks throughout the city. I have found both gold (rings/bracelets) & silver jewelry & coins (Morgan's, Peace etc.) where the original sidewalk was pulled-up and before the new concrete was laid down to replace it. Also there are many old parks & school yards which have yielded many new & old coins, jewelry of every kind & artifacts (old metal types of toys & dog tags).

I also have a summer home near the shore in North Carolina which gives me great opportunities to get to the beach and work in the sand. This unit does have a salt/fresh switch which helps tremendously in searching in black sand. This is my favorite activity when detecting sun, sand & the beautiful water. I haven't found any Spanish Sliver yet but most of the fun is looking for it.

I'm beginning to look for a new detector that is lighter & a little easier to use. This detector is a few years old so I would like something with the newest technology like a White's DFX. I would recommend this detector if you got one at a discount price.

Fisher CZ 7A

O, my baby was a long time coming! 10 years to be exact...

In 1997 I was fortunate to visit Florida for the first time en route home to South Africa from a Commonwealth conference in Trinidad and Tobago. My 2 day stop-over in Miami and Greyhound bus trip on to Orlando was for two reasons to see Disneyworld. but more importantly, to visit Kellyco in Winter Springs! I had at that time read widely about metal detecting but had never before touched a detector the hobby was just about non-existing in South Africa and I had seen no more than two or three guys doing it on a distant beach and I dearly wanted to buy a detector and bring it back with me on the plane. My choice was the Fisher CZ 7A. (By the way, even today detectors are not readily available here in any shops!)

I had no comprehension of distances and locations of the area and booked into a cheap hotel somewhere in Kissimmee, which on the area map appeared to be very close to Winter Springs. The first day I spent walking the theme parks and my last day was meant to be the highlight with a visit to Kellyco. I had worked out my budget carefully and had rationed myself (government allowance, remember!) on the two week trip and had just enough money left to buy my baby and afford a cab to the airport! But I missed a crucial part my hotel in Kissimmee wasnt exactly around the corner from Winter Springs and the first cab company I phoned quoted me a return fare way beyond the price of a new ZC 7A! Hoping that my foreign English accent might have been misunderstood I phoned a second company. Same story. The concierge gave me a dirty business card of a kind of one-man show operator. He warned me the chap wasnt very reliable, but he would be cheaper than the others. I traced him on the phone after a long battle. He wasnt keen to take me because he had another booking within the hour. I told him my predicament to buy my first metal detector. He had no sympathy youre fucking mad to want to go all the way; theres a Wall Mart across the road!

I pitied myself, packed my bags and left for the airport early, my CZ baby intact in Winter Springs.

Ten years later, last year, and more free time at my disposal I bought a used CZ 7A locally, and the two of us have been inseparable ever since! I so regret that I could not get to Kellyco years ago, but my new baby, albeit kept together with tape here and there, hasnt disappointed me for one moment! She keeps sniffing out the gold and silver, and at the rate the two of us are going I will no doubt shortly be able to afford that long desired trip to Kellyco!

THE MODEL THAT I OWN IS A FISHER CZ-5. LET ME TELL YOU THAT IT HAS BEEN THE BEST DETECTOR SO FAR THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED. I HAVE USED WHITE'S COINMASTER SERIES AND ALSO THE WHITE'S CLASSIC I.D. SERIES DETECTORS. THE FISHER CZ-5 HAS THE DUEL FREQUENCY TARGETING SYSTEM TO ZERO IN ON THE TARGET. MY TREASURE FINDING HAS DOUBLED SINCE USING THE CZ-5 FOR THE PAST YEAR. THE DESCRIMINATION CONTROLS REALLY GET THE FEEL FOR THE TERRAIN. BE IT BEACH OR DRY LAND THIS DETECTOR HAS NEVER FAILED ME TO FIND THAT TARGET. HOWEVER, IT CAN BE TEMPERMENTAL WHEN THERE IS A GREAT AMOUNT OF TRASH AROUND THE TARGET. MY MOTTO IS ALWAYS DIG ANY SIGNAL . THERE MIGHT BE A DIAMOND IN THE MOUND OF TRASH. BECAUSE OF THE LIMITED DEALERS IN THE GREAT STATE OF MAINE, REPAIR FOR FISHERS ARE LIMITED. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO MAKE THOSE REPAIRS YOURSELF. FOR INSTANCE, THE BRACKET ON THE WAND THAT KEEPS THE DETECTOR BOX SECURE HAD BROKEN OFF DUE TO EXTENSIVE USE, I MADE REPAIRS USING A DRILL AND A SLIDING DOOR BRACKET TO ATTACH THE BOX BACK TO THE WAND. NOW IT'S BETTER THAN BEFORE. NOW I CAN USE THE DETECTOR MORE EASILY TO MAKE IT A HIP MOUNT WHEN WORKING IN CLOSE QUARTERS AND DIFFICULT POSITIONS THAT A WAND CAN NOT REACH OR GET A GOOD TARGETING ON TREASURES. I HAVE PROBABLY PAID MY DETECTOR OFF FIVE TIMES OVER BY THE SHEER AMOUNT OF COIN OVER THE PAST YEAR OR SO. I DO ALOT OF COINSHOOTING AND BEACHCOMBING. AS FAR AS RELIC DIGGING, I PLAN ON DOING SOME THIS SPRING. MY FISHER CZ-5 WILL NOT LET ME DOWN. IF I CAN FIND A SILVER CHARM AT 8 INCHES IN A HEAVY TRASH AREA, I KNOW I WILL FIND ALMOST ANYTHING ANYWHERE. BATTERIES SEEM TO LAST A LONG TIME WITH THIS DETECTOR. WHEN THE BATTERIES ARE WEAK , YOU CAN IMMEDIATELY TELL BY THE LACK OF TONE WHEN GOING OVER A TARGET. ANOTHER WAY IS ALSO BY THE FAINT SECOND PING WHEN GOING OVER A POSSIBLE TARGET. FISHER BUILDS A GREAT, DEPENABLE, LONG LASTING, DURABLE DETECTOR THAT WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN. MAYBE MY JUDGEMENT IS JADED BECAUSE OF MY EXPERIENCE WITH ONLY THE TWO BRANDS, WHITE AND FISHER. I HAVE NEVER USED A MINELAB,GARRETT, TESARO, BOUNTY HUNTER, OR ANY OTHER I HAVE NOT MENTIONED. I WOULD RECOMMEND FISHER AND ITS CZ SERIES TO THE COINSHOOTER. YOU WILL FILL YOUR POCKETS WITH CHANGE AND SMALL PIECES OF JEWELRY. ALSO FROM MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS DETECTOR, GOLD IS NOT EASILY FOUND. THERE IS NOT A DEFINITIVE PING OR RING WITH A GOLD TARGET. WHITES HAS A SLIGHT HOLLOW THUNK GOING OVER A GOLD RING WHERE THE FISHER GIVES THE SAME TONE AS A SILVER TARGET. MAYBE THIS IS DIFFERENT ON OTHER FISHER DETECTORS, BUT I HAVE YET TO FIND GOLD WITH THIS FISHER CZ-5 MODEL. YOUR INVESTMENT IN A FISHER DETECTOR IS WELL WORTH IT. THIS DETECTOR IS A WORK HORSE. SUN UP TO SUN DOWN , IT WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN. ALSO I RECOMMEND GETTING A COVER FOR THE COIL. YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU SMACK IT AGAINST A BOULDER AND ALL YOU GET IS A DULL HUM OR NO SOUND AT ALL. TRUST ME, I LEARNED ALOT FROM TRIAL AND ERROR.

The Fisher CZ-21 is a good detector, works very nice. Finds many good relics, coins, jewelry and antiques. I like to search at old houses and churches for old coins and relics. The detector took some getting use to, but now it is easy to use.

This detector might not be good for the beginner, but a seasoned metal detectorist could use it well. I also like hunting beaches with this metal detector. I like to find jewelry, especially gold and silver because of the rising spot prices, and coins are also nice to find. I like to go after a storm, because the sand gets all mixed up, so there are new things to find. Some typical finds with this metal detector at old churches and houses are coins (such as mercury dimes, wheat cents, silver quarters, buffalo nickels, and the occasional Indian head or half dollar.

At the beaches, I find mostly newer coins, but sometimes I find some silver or wheat cents. I also find jewelry at the beaches, and I like to find gold and silver. Gold and silver prices are going up, and the value of a couple pieces of jewelry adds up. I like the ability of the detector to go underwater, so 'i can search where other detectors can not. There are usually more items in the water than on the beach because people always detect the beaches, but most detectors cant go underwater.

I also like the two year warranty that I got with the detector, because if it happens to break, they will fix it for me. The fisher cz-21 is a great metal detector, and I would recommend it to all detectorists with some experience.
