After watching my Hunting Buddy dig up countless bottle caps and other junk targets with his PI detector, I decided there had to be something better in a water machine that would get me the goodies and leave that junk behind. I did a little research and really liked what I saw in the DetectorPro Diver. All the electronics and batteries in the headphones seemed like a good idea to me, less resistance when wading and it wouldn't float if I ever decided to dive.
When my Diver arrived, I was impressed with the build quality and how light the headphones were, even though they housed the heart and soul of the detector.
So on the first freshwater hunt with it, I set the Sensitivity to 8 and the Discrimination to 3 and hit the water for some shallow freshwater hunting. There were 2 other hunters already there when I arrived at this small beach and they told me to forget the shallows, they had already cleaned it out with their "other brand" machines. At first I dug everything that made a sound, but soon learned that the "Clicks were bottlecaps and bobbypins, stuff I could very well leave behind. I was surprised at how sensitive the Diver was to even the smallest targets. My very first hunt netted me 2 small gold rings that the Diver had no trouble hitting solid on, in the shallows that were cleaned out. The look on those boy’s faces when I showed them the 2 gold rings was priceless. Two weeks later, I saw the same guys, one sporting a DetectorPro.
I also use the Diver as a land machine when it's raining and don't want to risk my regular land detectors. I don some rain gear, get out the DectectorPro Diver and head out the door.
In my opinion the Diver is a great machine, land or water!!

The DetectorPro Headhunter Diver has got to be the best detector I have ever owned; lightweight portable and highly effective for recovering treasure from the oceans bottom.
I have had more strikes with this detector than many of the others that I currently own. I have found more silver cobs and coins on the Island of St. Thomas and in the waters surrounding them than even in the Bahamas or in Florida. The unit’s simple controls made finding my first gold chain on the beach so easy. It just pumped me up to see GOLD in my scoop. I am still looking for my first gold coin (or Barr). The sheer depth of this detectors search field has me digging all sorts of things out of the sand from the trash to the treasures.
I would recommend this detector to anyone who has arm muscle fatigue from the heavier units. Most of the weight is in the headphones or to snorkelers and divers who want to see what is under the sand and rocks at their local beaches who know that the first find could bring out an early retirement or at least be the first person to see an object after it was lost. All in all getting out there is good exercise and metal detectors are with use bound to pay for themselves in the lost change you find everywhere. It is small, compact, lightweight, easy to tune, has great balance, and a great color scheme. It is all together one of the best value for the money out there today. Thank you Kellyco for sending this one to me!
